@jaybakker If there is one body and the body has many viable parts does not somebody have to be the asshole?
thanks for this talk, I am intersexed my birth certificate says I am femail, but genetic testing has said I’m prodomidly male, so I fight a battle on a dayly bases as to how I will be preceved, I wish so much my church would just let me be me instead of pushing & saying I am femail so I should be refured to as she, they seem to basicaly exsept me but the gender thing seems to premate my exsistence & cause constint tention, you helped me to just fortify & keep battling on.
@wackywilliams Your note was inspiring to me. Sometime think we have to push back or perhaps simply stand our ground when others are trying to make us fit into a box. I think you should insist that people refer to you by your name and without gender if that is what you prefer. It is no different than when a divorced woman insists upon being refered to Miss or Ms. as opposed to Mrs. It’s no different than when any other “social norm” needs to be broken down. Yes it will cause tension but in this case tension is a good thing. If the goal of your church friens is to walk in love then this tension will cause growth. If the goal of your church friends is anything else but love it will be revealed and you may have some decisions to make about who your friends are.
Stay encouraged.
