jay i listened to your sermon on sept 4 2011 on "leaving the 99"
I thank God every day for you and your ministry for the fact that i was one of thoes 99. I want you to also know that your Mom literaly saved my life when i was 13. Being gay in the deep south of alabama in the late 70s was hard and i didn't want to live any more i was watching tv with a knife in my hand ready to end it when our tv scrambled and there was you Mom singing the song "You can make it" thats when i saw a true angel for the first time in my life her name was Tammy Faye Baker and my heart broke when all that happened to your parents. I will always be greatful to her for that song...
Now for you I am a stronger Christian because of your ministry knowing that there is someone besides the GLBTQ community going to bat for us and from my Congregation Rainbow Covenant Lighthouse to you THANK YOU FOR Stand on Affirmation for ALL gods children
